Neighbourhood Centres
Presented by Brisbane Festival and the Queensland Government
Art is for everyone!
Art is for Everyone! In keeping with our ethos of making the arts accessible to as many Brisbane-ites as possible, we are partnering with communities across the length and breadth of Brisbane, bringing circus to the suburbs and dance to the districts.
Our inclusive and accessible Communities Workshop Program is a cornerstone of the Brisbane Festival program. With the support of the Queensland Government, we are breaking down the barriers that communities face to fully access and participate in authentic and genuine arts experiences.
Now entering its fourth year of incredible events on the ground in your neck of the woods, we work with local Neighbourhood and Community Centres and pair them with creative artists to teach workshops in art, dance, circus, fashion and more. Each Centre will host seven weeks of creative workshops with celebration outcomes showcased across the festival season.
Participation in these workshops is Free and everyone is welcome. Please check our website for full details of the programs and locations and information on how to get involved. .
