Nightwalks with Teenagers
Brisbane Festival and the Queensland Government present
What happens when you put young people in charge? They lead, and you follow.
Queensland Premiere
Nightwalks with Teenagers is a walking performance created with local young people who plan, design and lead the walks through the city at night. Rediscover everyday streets, transformed into a rich tapestry of secrets to uncover, and see the world anew, through the eyes of these young people. They will challenge stigma and negative perceptions of young people in public space.
The project focuses on connecting young people and community members, to walk together and engage in a unique social experience in a shared place and time, where everyone can let loose, and silences often offer moments for contemplation.
Experience the true power of community, and be forever changed in this utterly captivating movement.
