Multiple ARIA Award winning R&B pop artist, songwriter and actress Jessica Mauboy takes to the stage in a stunningly re-imagined South Bank Piazza for the Festival's opening night presented by The Courier-Mail.

One of Australia's most celebrated and loved entertainers, Jessica's Brisbane Festival performance will read as an anthology of the biggest global smash hits since her first solo album in 2008.

Bursting onto the music scene in 2006 when she reached the finals of TV's Australian Idol, Jessica quickly gained popularity with her blend of R&B and pop. Having amassed an impressive body of work including 6 Top 10 Albums and 16 Top 20 Singles, Jessica has also won 2 ARIA Awards, 21 Platinum and 9 Gold accreditations. Jessica is the first Indigenous Australian artist to debut at No. 1 on the ARIA Album Chart and has also received acclaim for her TV roles.
