Extraordinary Australian cast perform the songs of Bob Dylan reimagined and interwoven into a deeply moving story.
Queensland Premiere
Girl From The North Country boasts an extraordinary Australian cast who reimagine more than 20 songs of Bob Dylan, interwoven into a deeply moving story by Irish playwright Conor McPherson. At times achingly beautiful and at others starkly haunting, Brisbane Festival audiences will embrace this award-winning production.
After sold-out seasons on the West End and Broadway, Girl From The North Country has taken the theatrical world by storm and is now one of the most critically acclaimed productions of the 21st Century. A captivating story of American life in 1934 Minnesota, a group of wanderers cross paths at a guesthouse. Standing at a turning point in their lives, they realise nothing is what it seems, but as they search for a future, and hide from the past, they find themselves facing unspoken truths about the present.
Written and directed by multi award-winner Conor McPherson and featuring the songs of Bob Dylan, Girl From The North Country's breathtaking cast includes four-time Gold Logie Award winner Lisa McCune, Peter Kowitz (QTC's Death Of A Salesman), Helen Dallimore (Helpmann Award Winner) & Peter Carroll (Power Of The Dog).
