Within a week of Brisbane Festival’s highly anticipated 2020 program going on sale on Tuesday 28 July, the majority of ticketed events were sold out, with the jam-packed live performance program proving particularly popular.  

Responding to demand, Brisbane Festival has released 500 tickets across additional shows presented with The Tivoli throughout September:

• The IsoLate Late Show LIVE! by The Little Red Company, The Tivoli – Thurs 3 Sept 8pm
• Washington, The Tivoli – Tues 15 Sept 8pm. 
• Hot Mess Mama by Emma Dean and Katherine Lyall-Watson, The Tivoli – Thurs 17 Sept 8pm.
• Katie Noonan’s The Sweetest Taboo, The Tivoli – Sun 20 Sept 7pm.

The wellbeing of audiences and community, as well as artists, staff and volunteers, remains Brisbane Festival’s top priority, and its program will be adjusted to meet the evolving restrictions and requirements of Queensland’s Chief Health Officer.

Due to Queensland’s recent border closures, and the subsequent travel restrictions, Brisbane Festival has unfortunately been forced to cancel two events - Custard at The Tivoli (Sat 5 September) and Chris Abrahams’ MONO: Offsite at The Old Museum (Sun 6 September).

Stepping in to replace Chris Abrahams on Sunday 6 Sept at 7pm will be a specially formed trio of three eclectic artists who are featuring in other Festival events: Robin Fox (creator and composer, Sunsuper Night Sky), Vanessa Tomlinson (Percussion at Dusk) and Lawrence English (curator of The Listening Etudes).

Tickets for this event and the additional Tivoli line-up will be on sale from 12noon Thursday 20 August.

All Custard ticketholders will be automatically issued with a full refund. This can take up to 5 working days.
